Immigration Minimum Salary Increase on 1 July 2025

Immigration have announced that the minimum salary for most sponsored work visas will be increased on 1 July 2025. The new minimum for the most commonly used visa (the 482 visa in the Core Skills stream) will be

AUD76,515

Other minimums are also be adjusted upwards.

Cases lodged before 1 July 2025 will not be effected by the increase.

There is no Immigration-requirement for employers to increase the salaries of existing workers who were granted a visa based on a previous minimum salary. Employers only need to comply with increased Immigration-minimums when a new application is lodged.
