Skilled Migration – Changes on the Horizon

Things on the list:

• Permanent Residence options for people currently on the short-term list
• People completing qualifications in Australia to receive work experience concessions
• Employer sponsored – no job advertising requirement to extend existing staff visas

The Joint Standing Committee report into Australia’s Skilled Migration Program made these and many other recommendations to the federal government yesterday. There is no guarantee that any or all of these recommendations will all be adopted. There is no time frame yet either. Watch this space.
